Mobile phones connecting people across the globe,
Medical equipments playing savior,
Buildings shielding us against the fierce forces of nature,
Internet which has shrunk the world ,
Inventor of all these revolutionary ideas -the engineer.
And yet for the lay man
doctors are noble and engineers heartless capitalists..
Unless life is about merely breathing,I do not understand the rationale

well the unsung engineer may have shrunk the world.. but to an extent where it is nothing but a crumpled mass of junk...mobile phones might have shrunk distances, but they have also roasted several neurons.. the engineer might have developed the best of technology ...but he also developed the atom bomb..its ultimately upto the poor and noble doctor to keep up with the technological advances (or misfortunes)of the engineer and cure the incurable..and hey who said doctors are not capitalists??!!
People say that doctors are noble - what about those doctors who aid female infantoecide? What about those unscrupulous doctors who refuse to consult patients without insurance? I dislike generalizations, especially ones where people make statements without getting their facts straight. Good post, very thought provoking!
