Across the border...

I stand at the border, wondering whether to cross over,
The wild fire spreading relentlessly, destroying all in its path.
I could predict neither its fury, nor its next victim,
The winds guiding the fire, as inept at decision making.
My mind imposing its logic, my senses their perception,
the battle was fierce, neither willing to converge to a decision.
A few pertinent questions..
Would it not be easier to escape the fire in a city, I knew well enough to navigate?
Is it not human to assume the grass across to be greener without evidence?
Is there any indication of the new land being more secure?
Is it not a coward's act to run away from problems?
Despite the lingering doubt of whether I was being brave or foolhardy,
The questions cleared my perception and I mustered the courage to stay on.
At sunrise: Brimming with energy, backed by the sunshine ,
At sunset: Needs to be gaurded against the shadow of doubt,

The decision

The advantage of being at the borders is that you actually see both sides..But sometimes the irony is you are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils..
But one should never fear the unknown nor the insecurities that come with change..There is no way one can experience or enjoy new things unless one tries out the 'new' things..
We may fail several times, get bruised more number of times but the few success that comes our way would make everything worth it..

Before i go on and on like Obama, let me end it here..;-)
