with windows betraying empty offices,
A constant parade of expensive cars,
incongruous with the dilapidated roads,
Creator of ever so many millionaires,
now on the verge of bankruptcy,
The guardian of the citizens,
incapable of keeping it's promise,
The historic picture of prosperity,
is tainted by menacing debt,
The sea of opportunities,
is cautiously shrinking,

The era of Single country dominance is over.. The earlier people get used to that fact the better it is..:)
Progress has made sure its a global economy and its increasingly become a complex world where a small country in Europe can plunge the entire financial system into crisis.. The effects of the era of globalization!
Having said that your second para does bring out the needs of the day.. SMEs and Entrepreneurs will drive the next level of progress for any country and i hope US doesnt stop being as innovative as they are (and used to be).. It will be a shame otherwise..
