Neither friend nor family,
Never met or spoke,
And yet..
As the larger than life image crumbles,
As the epitome of rebellion is silenced,
As the creative genius retires,
As the veteran succumbs to fate,
The world grapples with a perceptible loss.
A melancholy spirit invades me,
As I feel the end of an era..
It deeply saddens me
To witness the unassailable captured,
To relegate the dynamic icon to the annals of history.

You hit the nail on the head..When i heard the news i just felt so sad..:( It even surprised me considering many times you dont feel much when you hear such things about someone whom you might have known..
And knowing him? Not even remote.. Yet. It was really sad..
Almost everyone (whether they like Apple or not) would agree he was a true visionary and a great leader who rewrote the definition of leadership in its classical sense..
He would be one guy who would have gone to bed everyday happy that he was doing something wonderful and was impacting the world! He opened the eyes of many manufacturers to overcome mediocrity..
